HomeGlossaryDigital asset

Digital asset

Digital assets refer to any value represented and stored on a blockchain network. These assets can take various forms, such as cryptocurrency tokens, digital certificates or Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs).

One example of a digital asset is a cryptocurrency coin like Bitcoin or Ethereum. These coins are created and stored on a blockchain, representing a certain amount of value that can be transferred and traded between users.

An NFT is a unique digital collectible which can represent digital artworks, music, videos, virtual real estate, or other types of digital media. These assets are indivisible and cannot be replicated, making them valuable as one-of-a-kind digital items.
